Terms of service

Updated at: 2026-09-20.

Welcome to GoMon Privacy focused web analytics. By accessing or using our website, analytics tracking scripts, dashboards, and reporting software (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before embedding our tracking script on your properties.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or deploying the GoMon analytics script, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into this agreement. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business or corporate entity, that entity accepts these Terms.

2. Description of Services

GoMon provides a privacy-first web analytics platform designed to track website traffic metrics without invading visitor privacy, utilizing tracking cookies, or harvesting Personal Identifiable Information (PII). GoMon reserves the right to modify dashboard metrics, tracking script mechanics, and reporting features at any time.

3. Account Tiers: Free Accounts and Paid Subscriptions

We offer different operational tiers based on your traffic volume and feature requirements:

  • Free Accounts: GoMon may provide a tier free of charge ("Free Account"). Free Accounts are strictly capped by monthly pageview limitations (e.g., up to 10,000 pageviews/month) and have shorter data retention windows. GoMon reserves the right to automatically pause data collection or terminate Free Accounts that exceed these thresholds.
  • Paid Subscriptions: Users can upgrade to a "Paid Subscription" to unlock higher monthly pageview allowances, extended historical data retention, multi-site management, and custom event tracking.

4. Privacy Commitment and Acceptable Use

GoMon is built from the ground up to comply with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR by not tracking personal data. As a user of our platform, you agree to the following strict conditions regarding the data you collect:

  • No Personal Data Injection: You are strictly prohibited from using custom properties, event parameters, or URL structures to send Personally Identifiable Information (PII) — such as email addresses, names, or phone numbers — to GoMon's servers.
  • Authorized Tracking: You must only embed the GoMon tracking script on websites and digital assets that you legally own, operate, or have explicit authorization to manage.
  • Fair Script Usage: You agree not to manipulate the tracking script to artificially inflate traffic metrics or cause intentional resource exhaustion on our ingestion endpoints.

5. Fees, Billing, and Downgrades

The following provisions govern users holding Paid Subscriptions:

  • Billing Mechanics: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual cycle, determined by your expected pageview volume tier.
  • Traffic Surges: If your website experiences a traffic spike that exceeds your paid plan's monthly pageview limit, GoMon may gently prompt you to upgrade or charge overage fees as specified in your dashboard tier details.
  • Downgrades and Data Truncation: If you cancel your Paid Subscription or downgrade to a Free Account, your historical data retention window will shrink to the free tier standard. GoMon is not liable for the permanent loss of historical analytics data resulting from an account downgrade or cancellation.

6. Data Ownership

You retain 100% ownership of your raw analytics data. GoMon acts strictly as a data processor. We will never sell, monetize, or share your website's traffic metrics or analytics data with third parties or advertising networks.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As Is")

GoMon delivers its analytics platforms and data ingestion scripts on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for absolute accuracy in traffic attribution, GoMon **does not guarantee** that:

  • The analytics data will be 100% accurate, as ad-blockers or privacy browsers may block tracking scripts entirely.
  • The platform dashboard or script ingestion endpoints will operate completely uninterrupted or error-free at all times.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoMon shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential business damages. This includes, without limitation, **loss of corporate profits, data loss, website performance degradation, or regulatory penalties** arising out of your use or inability to use our privacy-focused analytics software.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any legal disputes arising under these Terms will be settled exclusively within the competent courts of the jurisdiction where GoMon is established.
